Summer is over, the kids are back in school and hopefully you got out the Minnesota State Fair at least once. If you’re looking for events in the Twin Cities this September, there’s still plenty of things to do. First and foremost, the Parade of Homes begins this month – it runs from the 8th to the 30th, Thursdays through Sundays – Pratt Homes is proud to once again take part in the Fall Parade of Homes. There’s also the Renaissance Festival and Taste of White Bear Lake if you’re looking for family friendly fun in the Twin Cities.

American Pottery Festival

The American Pottery Festival is a three-day event that serves as our largest fundraising event each year. This mindfully forged platform brings together makers, clay lovers, learners, collectors, and simply the curious, to play and to be inspired.
Each year, the event includes artists from large and small markets around the country, artists from all career stages and ages, and some local gems. The richness of experience, knowledge, and generosity represented by 2018’s artists will provide learning opportunities for everyone—from student to collector to fellow maker. The weekend is always filled with chances to engage directly with artists during image presentations, workshops, lectures, panel discussions, and casual gallery chats.
Taste of White Bear Lake

Community Fundraiser for local needs, presented by the White Bear Lake Rotary. Tickets are required for the event. Price includes food and wine tasting, music, silent auction, wagon rides, games, fun, and more!

Fall Parade of Homes

BATC-Housing First Minnesota presents tours of new and remodeled homes across the extended Twin Cities region. Our new home and remodeling tours are designed to help area families choose the right home, builder, or remodeler to serve their needs best. They’re also great resources to discover the newest designs, styles and decor choices to use in their own homes.
Tour hundreds of new homes twice a year (Spring and Fall) in the Parade of Homes, visit dozens of real remodeled homes the final weekend of each Parade of Homes in the Remodelers Showcase, and check out homes and remodeled homes from the region’s most prestigious builders and remodelers in the Artisan Home Tour!
Edina Fall into Arts Festival

Edina Fall into the Arts Festival is a benefit for the Edina Crime Prevention Fund, which keeps the residents of Edina safe. Centennial Lakes Park is a prime location for an art fair, and said to be one of the most beautiful locations in the country. We are eager to have you join us and will do everything to make the 15th Annual Edina Fall into the Arts Festival a huge success!
More than 250 artists & exhibitors, food vendors and sponsors will be showing and selling their work. The festival has an assortment of exciting new artists, as well as returning favorites representing diverse media such as photography, jewelry, pottery, sculpture, wearable arts, glass, fiber arts, wood, and painting. One of the most beautiful settings in the country. Something for everyone!
Once again, we are extending the show on the lower level to the north and south of the Hughes Pavilion along the lake, and to the south to the upper terrace parking deck at the Centennial Lakes Office Plaza along France Avenue.
Minnesota Renaissance Festival

King Henry and his royal court invite one and all to his 16th Century European village featuring 16 stages of live entertainment. Over 250 artisans fill the Festival marketplace to display and sell their handcrafted wares for a truly unique shopping experience. Patrons can interact with hundreds of memorable characters roaming the village streets as well as view live armored jousting throughout the day. Come celebrate our 47th season by visiting the Festival grounds in Shakopee, MN. Huzzah!
St Paul Oktoberfest

Don’t miss Minnesota’s most authentic Oktoberfest! Just like the Munich original, our festival is held mid-September. The festivities begin with a horse-drawn beer wagon parade (der Festzug) to Schmidt Brewery followed by the keg tapping ceremony (der Anstich) to officially kick off Oktoberfest. Friday night, enjoy live entertainment including Bavarian Musikmeisters, Makam Baklava and the Turkish American Association Dancers, and headliner, New Ulm’s traditional men’s chorus, Concord Singers.
Saturday brings festival favorites such as Dachshund races and an Oktoberfest wedding. New this year is Steinheben (stone lifting) competition (the first in the U.S.!) and a Human Glockenspiel. Main Stage headliner, the Polka Police, is back with their rock-polka parodies. For the kids (Saturday only), Kinderland Kids’ Carnival is complete with classic games and attractions for unlimited fun.
Let’s not forget authentic German food, vendors, and cultural demonstrations. Paulaner Oktoberfest beer, brewed in Munich, is on its way to St. Paul. Enjoy this refreshing beer in the Paulaner Biergarten. Prost! Admission is free. ID and $5 wristband is required for alcohol purchases. Proceeds support GAI’s mission to foster appreciation and understanding of the culture, language, arts, and ongoing history of the German speaking peoples.

The Delano Oktoberfest will run from 12pm-11pm on Saturday September 22, 2018. We will close down the block from Bridge to Elm. Fest tents fitted with authentic German fest tables & benches will be laid out. We will utilize the wonderful new river front park area. Oktoberfest beer by Lupine Brewing Co. will be served. German food from Deutschland Meats Food Truck, Lindstrom MN. St. Peter Lutheran, Watertown(home of German Maifest)will be serving up their famous Apfelstudel.
Plymouth on Parade
When: September 22nd, 2018
Where: Plymouth City Center
Music, food, fun and marching bands will bring the community together again for Plymouth on Parade 10:30 a.m. Saturday., Sept. 22. Bring a chair or stand along the parade route to enjoy this perennial favorite. The parade route runs down Plymouth Boulevard from 34th to 37th Avenues.
After the parade, stay for an afternoon of free family activities from noon to 2 p.m. at the Hilde Performance Center and the Plymouth Ice Center/Life Time Fitness area. Come inside for free ice skating and swimming. If you prefer to stay outdoors, check out face painting, entertainment, Plymouth Concert Band performance and inflatables. Food concessions are available for purchase.
Tapped & Uncorked

Tapped and Uncorked brings our community together in a unique location with an opportunity to sample and support local small businesses, plus it loads of fun! Best of all, it raises money to promote the development and maintenance of new and existing Roseville parks.
