Summer is finally, really, here!! We hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend, the first in a long time that was sunny and just downright delightful. Hopefully the summer will continue to be lovely, after this past winter we sure deserve a nice summer. June in Minnesota is filled with fun, family events. There is truly something for everyone to enjoy this month in the Twin Cities.

Flint Hills Family Festival

Join us in 2023 for more thrilling performances, student matinees, art-making activities, and more.

During the Flint Hills Family Festival, exciting Saturday performances inside the Ordway are just $5 to attend. Plus, so many more outdoor performances and activities throughout the Festival, including KOO KOO KANGA ROO closing performance free on Saturday, June 3 at 3:15 PM—are all interactive, kid-friendly, and free!

St. Anthony Park Arts Festival

Celebrating 54 years in St. Paul MN, the St. Anthony Park Arts Festival offers more than 70 juried artists offering pottery, jewelry, textiles, paintings, photography, printmaking, wood, and more. The festival also includes a used-book sale, a plant sale with offerings from the local Garden Club, art activities, food, and live music on the library lawn. Hosted by the St. Anthony Park Branch Library Association of the St. Paul Public Library as a benefit to support the library’s summer reading and activity programs.

Grand Old Day

Saint Paul’s original Sunday fun-day tradition returns with Grand Old Day on the first Sunday in June. With “the first parade of the summer,” over 150 food vendors, a family fun area, art district, and entertainment district with live music from dozens of the Twin Cities’ favorite bands, there is plenty of fun for the entire family! Grand Old Day, produced by the Grand Avenue Business Association, is the largest one-day festival in the upper Midwest.

Cottage Grove Strawberry Festival

Winstock Country Music Festival

Winstock is one of the Upper Midwest’s premier outdoor country music and camping festivals organized entirely by volunteers, with all proceeds from this event used to help fund private education for students from Winsted and surrounding communities. More than 1,000 people volunteer more than 5,000 hours to bring you the opportunity to enjoy country music’s finest entertainment, food, and fun. Stone Arch Bridge Festival

Stone Arch Bridge Festival returns to the west side of the Mississippi River. The festival grounds will span the riverfront area on W. River Parkway from 11th Ave S to N. 4th Avenue.

The Stone Arch Bridge is committed to providing a platform for artists to sell their work, and the community to gather safely. More than 200 artists and culinary artists will participate with a broad spectrum of artistic mediums.

Pride Festival & Parade

The 51st annual Twin Cities Pride Festival will be held at Loring Park (opens in new window) and Parade Park (opens in new window) in Minneapolis June 23 – 25, 2023 and will feature local BIPOC and LGBTQ+ vendors, food courts, a beer garden, and music stages.NEW THIS YEAR: All ages are welcome in the Beer Gardens. Guests must be 21+ to purchase alcohol. $5 I.D. check wristband is required to purchase alcohol.

Twin Cities Jazz Festival

This summer, Saint Paul, Minnesota’s Mears Park will come alive with the sounds of jazz. The 25th annual Twin Cities Jazz Festival presented by AARP Minnesota is returning to the popular Lowertown arts district for two days: Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24, 2023.

The Twin Cities Jazz Festival, established in 1999, is a non-profit organization, with a mission to keep the art form of jazz alive and well in our community.

All performances will be FREE and family-friendly. Bring a lawn chair, grab a bite and beverage on-site or from a nearby dining establishment, then sit back and enjoy the syncopated rhythms of this year’s featured entertainers. Of course, dancing is most welcome, too!

A variety of talented musicians from around the country and around the corner will take to the Jazz88 Main Stage in Mears Park to delight jazz fans, new and old.

Midsommardagen

Midsommar Dag is the most important holiday of the year and one of the most uniquely Swedish in the way it is celebrated. The Majstang (the Swedish version of a Maypole) is decorated with greens and flowers and then raised in the center of town. Traditional Swedish music and dances celebrate the long days of summer.

It is our 10 year anniversary already! Our popular Stillwater Flea & Crafter Market has grown over the years – about 200 vendors and crafters every month!! This fun outdoor event is held once a month May thru Sept. at the Washington County Fairgrounds in the Stillwater/Lake Elmo area. (Located just south of Hwy 36 on Hwy 15, also called Stillwater Blvd.) Our vendors and crafters have an offering of everything from A to Z!! Find antiques, household, furniture, garden art, clothing, tools, sports, jewelry, collectibles, vintage, food, arts and crafts, new, old, rusty and rustic, local fresh produce and much, much, more.
