The parade committee, a group of volunteers who plan the annual Rose Parade, selected “Rendezvous in ‘22” for this year’s Rosefest slogan because the community is energized and excited to get together again.

“It’s a great feeling,” expresses Lorraine Hansen. “People are getting excited about doing things again!” This year marks 31 years that Hanson has volunteered for Rosefest, most notably the Rose Parade. The parade features dozens of community organizations and one of the largest high school marching band competitions.

“Rosefest is a great opportunity to celebrate our wonderful community,” says Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Matthew Johnson. “We’re excited and hoping to reconnect with some of our long-time residents and friends, and hope to meet some of our newer community members at this summer’s events. There’s something for everyone.”
