Summer is finally here. If you aren’t spending your weekends at the cabin, there are plenty of great events in the Twin Cities this June to partake. From Grand Old Day to Manitou Days, there’s a festival for the whole family to enjoy. Get out and soak up the sun (but don’t forget the sunscreen) while it’s warm, because this is Minnesota and winter is always just around the corner.

Grand Old Day

Grand Old Day is Saint Paul’s first act of summer and the place to be on the first Sunday of June. There is plenty for the entire family to do at the largest one day festival in the upper Midwest. With over 150 food vendors, family fun area, art district, and six festival gardens, this is a day you will not want to miss. Kick off the summer season with Grand Old Day!

Good Neighbor Days

Come celebrate Good Neighbor Days with the Hugo Lions June 7th – 10th, 2018. Highlights of this 4-day festival include carnival rides, trout fishing pond, parade, bingo, beer garden and fireworks.

Lake Street Taco Crawl
When: June 9^th, 2018
Where: Lake Street between Nicollet and Hiawatha
Minneapolis, MN

Explore the taco establishments along Lake Street between Nicollet and Hiawatha! About two miles one way, visit five food trucks and more brick and mortar locations. Save the hassle of driving and parking for another day, grab a helmet and bicycle and have the freedom to go to and fro. Bring cash for tacos and water!

Cottage Grove Strawberry Fest

Stone Arch Bridge Festival
When: June 15^th– 17^th, 2018
Where: Stone Arch Bridge

The Stone Arch Bridge Festival is held every Father’s Day weekend on the Minneapolis Riverfront. It is the 3rd largest festival in Minneapolis drawing thousands of visitors to the beautiful scenery of the Mississippi River and Minneapolis skyline. The festival is known for the unique artwork for sale from 200+ artists, live music on three stages, and family friendly activities including an extensive car show. The festival kicks off with a free evening concert on Water Power Park on Friday, June 15.

Rock the Garden
When: June 16^th, 2018
Where: Minneapolis Sculpture Garden

This year Walker Art Center and The Current’s Rock the Garden returns to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden after a full renovation of the garden. The concert is headlined by Father John Misty and the rest of the line-up will include Feist, Kamasi Washington, P.O.S, Nikki Lane, Chastity Brown, Low Cut Connie, and U.S. Girls.

Afton Strawberry Festival and Market Place
When: June 23^rdand 24^th, 2018

The Afton Strawberry Festival will be celebrated in the historic village of Afton, MN, which is located along the scenic St. Croix River. The 2018 Afton Strawberry Festival will take place on Saturday, June 23th from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, June 24th from 11am to 4pm.

This unique community festival honors the long, rich heritage of strawberry crops grown in the area since the 1800’s. This free, two-day outdoor festival will feature a blend of 60+ artist vendors showcasing and selling their goods, vintage and 2nd-hand vendors selling repurposed or vintage treasures and a business expo. Great food, live music and fun activities for the entire family in Afton Town Square Park.
