The event welcomes fashionistas, influencers, movers, and shakers who are ready to see and be seen. Walk to End Alzheimer’s Twin Cities

The world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research is coming to the Twin Cities. All you have to do is move your feet. All ages are welcome to meet at Target Field to walk and fight this disease. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.; walk begins at 9:25 a.m. Free.

Cocktails at the Castle

All are welcome to ASI when the ladies rule the Castle, celebrating women in all their glory – women artists, musicians, craftspeople, and especially Karin Broos, whose paintings of women are showcased in ASI’s current Still Life: Karin Broos exhibition. Broos’ deeply personal portraits show unassuming, modern women, immortalized in paint and thus made extraordinary.

Performance is a highlight with Lady Midnight, former lead vocalist of Malamanya; Lady Lark, the playful and slinky local pop/soul star-to-be; DJ Keezy, named best Club DJ by City Pages; and pop-up dance by Kaleena Miller Dance, a founder of Rhythmic Circus. Illuminate the Lock: Part One

The 49-foot tall chamber of Upper St. Anthony Falls Lock and Dam will become a canvas for experimental artworks during this two-part series.

Surface by artist Aaron Dysart kicks off the series, using years of handwritten data recorded by Army Corps of Engineers staff at the Lock as the basis for a light show. Daily pool heights and lockages will translate into shifting colors projected on atmospheric effects created in the lock chamber. The spectacle will display the 52-year operating history of this iconic Minneapolis space through near daily observations by the people who tended it.

Lantern Lighting Celebration

Our Lantern Lighting Celebration is a special event to honor loved ones who have passed away. Enjoy live music and entertainment while you decorate your own candlelit floating lantern with words of remembrance and hope in memory of your loved ones. At dusk we will gather with friends, family and other guests on the shores of Lakewood’s lake to release the lanterns in a beautiful ceremony.
