About Tii Gavo:

Lakeside Gathering Place

Following the true meaning of Tii Gavo, a Native American phrase meaning The Gathering Place, we have created many locations throughout the community for residents to gather, entertain, and relax and to enjoy the surrounding beauty. The feature area is the Lakeside Gathering Place. Located at the marina and beach area on Painted Turtle Bay, residents can grill and eat together at the picnic pavilion that overlooks the lake. The well-lit recreation area includes two barbecue grills, picnic tables, a sand volleyball court, sand beach area, marina, canoe and kayak racks. There is also an enclosed restroom and shower area for your comfort and convenience. This central gathering place is adjacent to the Tii Gavo Trail System, within easy access for a stroll or bike ride through many of the scenic paths.

Community Bonfire Pit

Located on the south point, overlooking both Big Marine Lake and Painted Turtle Bay, the Community Bonfire Area is perched atop a picturesque knoll. Envision yourself amidst of mature deciduous forest area, an ideal spot to enjoy a bonfire with family and friends. This heavenly, at-the-lake setting will allow you to feel up north in the woods, yet you will be conveniently close to home, just a casual stroll away.

Fishing and Swimming Platforms on Rasmussen Pond

Located on the northern border of Tii Gavo is Rasmussen Pond, an idyllic waterfront respite featuring picturesque views in the midst of a quiet, nature setting. Stop off at the community fishing pier and sit for a spell, or toss in a line and try your luck at catching some mouth watering panfish. The kids and the young at heart will make their way out to the swim platform for some good old summertime fun, too! This beautiful pond will remain non-motorized to preserve its pristine and peaceful nature.

Community Orchard

Located near the northern entrance to Tii Gavo is a notable community orchard where residents can harvest and enjoy a variety of apples, plums, and pears. Act quickly in the fall as deer and wildlife like to sample them, too!

Parkland

In keeping with the underlying concept of creating a low impact development, nearly 100 acres of land within Tii Gavo have been protected via conservation easements. The quality and diversity of the landscape makes this a lake community to be treasured and preserved. Residents of Tii Gavo will get to savor the protected land for years to come.
