The Vadnais Lake Area Water Management Organization ( VLAWMO) will be hosting two workshops before the end of the month.

A raingarden in your yard can be a beautiful landscape feature and help to replenish our groundwater supplies and protect our lakes and streams.

The first workshop is about designing and installing your own rain garden. If you preregister with the class they will have an aerial photo of your property ready for the class and will help you determine where to put a rain garden in your yard. This workshop is Wednesday May 14th.

The second workshop will go over how to maintain raingardens and shoreline restorations. After the previous class you should have a good idea of how to start your raingarden. However, it will require maintenance, and this class will show you the tips and tricks necessary to take care of it. This workshop is Wednesday May 21st.
